I got very behind in my blogging during the holidays so I will try to catch up! In November, Kevin and I (without kids) visited my brother and his wife in Denver. Brent and Becca married in April of last year so we have not gotten to spend much time with the two of them. It was great to get to know Becca better and see Brent in married life. We really enjoy being around them! They have a lovely house they have been fixing up in the city of Denver. My dad & mom actually helped do some work so it was neat to see some of dad's handiwork (he's a general contractor). While there we went to a ski documentary that is a BIG deal to those in the ski community. It's an annual production they go to so it was a real cultural experience. It was incredible seeing the best skiers in the world. We also drove to Breckenridge and Boulder one day. We didn't get to ski this trip but we enjoyed seeing a little snow and checking out the ski shops. But mostly it was nice to get away and be with family. My parents kept the kids so that was a huge blessing. When we returned there was no easing back into reality as we all got the stomach bug beginning the night we returned:) We look forward to another trip to Denver as soon as possible.
