Dana's 35th Birthday!

I turned 35 this month. We celebrated with some friends at Kani House-an awesome Japanese Steakhouse. I am not a big "surprise" person so I usually just tell Kevin what I want to do for my birthday. Boring, I know! But it was fun nonetheless. I am thankful for the blessings God has given me. I have a wonderful husband and three great kids. I am thankful for new friends and old ones.

Kid's First Fun Run

Kevin's company (Booster Enterprises) puts on an event that raises money for schools. It's called a "fun run." Coley and Parker love any chance they get to participate in one of these. The guys on the Booster team are so great to love on our kids and give them very special attention. In her first run Coley ran about 25 laps. This is pretty good. Parker ran 1 and then went to the playground. Good thing our laps were not counted toward the monetary goal of the school!

Micah turns 1!

We had another January b-day. Micah turned 1!. As you can see he really enjoyed his cupcake. We had a less involved family party for him. Actually we wound up having a few parties over the course of a few weeks--each time a grandparent was here. So Micah turned 1 a few times. He didn't mind. As you can see his right eye looks a little watery and swollen. He has had a clogged tear duct from birth. He recently had a minor surgery to correct this. Coley had the same problem and procedure. So we're thankful all is well. Micah's first year has been a blurr. He has lived in three different houses in his short life. Hopefully we can manage to stay in this one for a while. Micah's personality has been laid back so far, but I think he's been fooling us. He started walking and saying some words and now he has a newfound independence. He spends most of his time trying to keep up with his older siblings.

Coley's 5th Birthday

OK! So I'm way behind bloggers. I honestly got frustrated because I could not figure out how to get my "Christmas" theme background off my blog. So I kept ignoring it! Now it's off and I can blog without a bad attitude. So I'll try and catch you up. Coley turned 5 in January. We had a party at Splatters. It's one of those paint your own pottery places. It was great and she had a blast. Kevin did his annual "my kid is the greatest" speech. He does these at all their birthday parties and kinda gives them a blessing for the coming year. It's amazing how grown up Coley seems. It's sometimes hard to remember her being a baby at all. She is naturally reserved, but very smart. She asks a ton of questions. She is spiritually warm and asked Jesus in her heart this year. Coley is a helper and thinks for mama at times. She recently started taking ballet-which she gets from Aunt Kim. She's also reading some so we're very excited about this.
