Crafty Attempts

As I've said before I'm not that into crafts. But Coley loves doing them! So I'm trying! See the cute turkeys we made for Thanksgiving. We also collected sticks from our backyard and made a Thankful Tree-below. We all wrote things on the leaves that we were thankful for. Thirdly, see the black cart. I'm most proud of this. It was a light wood kitchen cart we bought when we first got married. It had a type of wire in the door panels. It has been sitting in our garage or storage shed for years. I re-purposed it for my homeschool stuff. It probably cost about $10-15 and it's working out great!

Some recent pics

Coley loves taking pictures. She took the top one.

Kevin and I before our Anniversary Date. We ate at Stoney River and then saw The Blindside with Sandra Bulloch-very good!

Oh Yes! I cooked it. This was my very first turkey. It turned out really well. But I'm not sure it was worth getting up at 6am to do it:)

Billy and Jenn's wedding!

Parker was a ring-bearer for our sweet friends Jenn and Billy. We were with them in Chicago this summer when they got engaged. The wedding was one of the most God exalting weddings I've ever seen. Parker was blessed to be a part of it. Notice the picture after he found the chocolate fountain at the reception!

Annie!

I took Coley and her friend Emma to see the play Annie. It was so fun. I felt like I was a child again since I grew up watching the movie and listening to the music. Below are some of the girls who played the orphans. C & E thought they'd met stars!

8th Anniversary

We celebrated 8 years of marriage on September 29th. We had free tickets to the Braves game-right behind the dugout-so that is how we celebrated. Our friends Billy and Jenn joined us! People kept calling and texting us to say they'd seen us on TV!

Classical Conversations

As you may know we have begun homeschooling Coley this year. But each Tuesday we participate in a homeschool co-op called Classical Conversations (classicalconversations.com). Here is a picture of her Tuesday class. There are 8 kids who are also homeschooled. It's amazing what they are learning and she has made some great friends too!

Fun at Grandmama & Papa's

How many grandparents do you know that have a golf cart that can pull a train? This activity can provide hours of fun while entertaining grandkids! My brother-n-law built this train years ago when my nephew was small. The kids love it as you can see! My parent's live in the "country" so they pull the train around and pick up kids who live near them. Everyone loves it! It's kinda like Santa's Sleigh!

Parker's 4th Birthday

Parker turned 4 in September. Of course we just had to celebrate "Pirate Style." This was really the first time he'd had an actual party. Our friend Mr. Brett dressed as a pirate which took the festivities to a whole new level. Parker felt loved and had an awesome time. He's gotten to be such a big boy and we're so proud of him!

My nephew's outfit

I mentioned that the football outfit belonged to my nephew. Here is Parker wearing it a few years ago.

Halloween Night!

I've got some catching up to do, but here are a few pics from Halloween. Kevin was "out" with a hurt back so I went with neighbor's trick or treating. The other kids are our sweet friends across the street. Parker was a pirate-of course. Micah wore an outfit that belonged to my 15 yr. old nephew. Parker also wore it a few years ago. Coley had a last minute costume change and she was Orphan Annie. When we got home the kids LOVED answering the door for those who came seeking candy at our house!
